Pathogens, Posters and Up the Creek Again!

Monday - In the morning we had a workshop with Sheree at Cudlee Creek on Woody Weed control, and identified and removed feral olives and broom. It rained heavily in the afternoon so we did some research work at Mt. Pleasant Catchment Centre.

Tuesday - Water monitoring with Gerry Butler and Bernie Farrow, a Hydro Geologist. We went to 8 Passive Sampling stations to collect water which is part of the Pathogen Reduction Program in the catchment. We then went to the Mt. Pleasant Primary School and Gerry gave an interesting workshop on water sampling as part of the Saltwater Program.

The Team planting

Wednesday - We worked with Rod McBeath at Mt. Torrens on the Erosion fence in the creek line, we cleaned the site then all of us worked in the creek constructing the fence. We remove quite a few woody weeds and debris from the creek, which Rod removed from the site. We will spend another half a day to finish the job.

Thursday - Cleaned the van and the trailer, and had a meeting with Gerry regarding poster displays for the Environmental day at Gummeracha Spring Fair.
